growing 🌿✨
all that live & exist in this world
are in a constant state of transformation.
forever adapting to the changes that come,
letting go —
bygones be bygones —
to make room for all the
regenerations & fluctuations.
come autumn,
even the sturdiest of redwoods,
shed all that no longer serves them.
year after year,
season after season,
the greens of the woods change & fall.
leaving a symphony of autumnal colors
to swirl around their mighty trunks.
a beautiful metamorphosis of life.
as difficult as it is,
& as grim as it can be,
losses aren’t always tragedies
to be mourned over.
nor are they mistakes.
they are not proof of failure,
but rather life.
leaving behind the irrelevant & harmful,
the deadwoods of the redwoods of life
(so to speak).
as you self-deprecate
& breed doubt in your heart
ask yourself,
“where would life be if not for
the rain clouds & their storms?”
even the smallest of life
on this ever spinning globe,
has its own version of showers.
i guess in the end
that’s what unites us all, huh?
surviving,
thriving,
& eventually dying.
but ‘till then,
i guess,
it’s here we’ll all remain.
on this spinning globe,
all together,
simply doing
what we were meant to do,
just
growing 🌱
